Robert Scoble says it all boils down to fonts. Windows has great fonts… Mac has blurry fonts… and Linux?
Fuhgetaboutit. Only geeks can stand it.
I dunno. I’m inclined to believe that Windows owes more credit for success to zillion dollar marketing campaigns.
But that’s just me. And I wouldn’t count out Linux on the desktop just yet.
From what I see, the new easier-to-manage Linux disties are picking up steam, not losing it.
Scoble also thinks people pick on Microsoft because it’s big. He’s right… to a point.
But while Scoble suggests that most MS attacks are due to tear-down-the-big-guy syndrome, it’s likely due to elephant-in-the-living-room syndrome.
It’s pretty hard to have a conversation without mentioning the elephant.
