Remember that Google pay-per-click fraud settlement for $90 million?Back in March, I figured the lawyers would bag $15 million for all their class-action labors and Google would dribble out the balance in advertising credits for those willing to jump through the hoops.
I was wrong by half.
If the thing goes through, Google will shell out $30 million, and victims will fight for $60 million in makeup ads.
I said, “If.”
Turns out, some folks are asking the judge to throw the whole thing out, labelling it a “deal among large companies and their attorneys.”
Gee. You think?
