Sadly, we were smart enough to remember the history, but not smart enough to let you in on it. Dumb dumb dumb. Webcentral thwarted the bug because their servers got too hot (”Hot Mail Servers”) and went offline, and TelstraClear thwarted Sober (and any other virus/worm) because they lost a switch and went offline.

Maybe EB got a bit too cute with the headline, but it makes sense once you’ve read the article.
