What are the chances that PayPal would:

  • send you an HTML message…
  • requesting personal information…
  • through an embedded link…
  • to a site registered in Australia…
  • Just five days ago…
  • by an anonymous dweeb…
  • in Morgantown, North Carolina…
  • with a phone number in Decatur, Alabama…
  • who lists DNS servers & email address at Yahoo?

If you answered “Pretty good,” you obviously have experience with the wizards of PayPal. Nevertheless, we’re going out on a limb here… We’re calling this guy a phisher.

If we’re wrong, email our apologies to Jaime Gomez Marinelli of 102 woodward ave, morganton NC 28655 at danadanuta_mea@yahoo.com. Better yet, give him a buzz in Decatur: 256-654-5319. (Jaime’s Domain Registry listings)

While you’re at it, you may want to consider blocking messages containing “webscr-bin.com”, no matter how they authenticate… Just for the heckuva it.
