A sampling of today’s spam sputterings:
- TechNewsWorld: “…Junk e-mail has actually increased since Congress passed the CAN-SPAM Act.”
- ZDNet UK: “At the current rate of increase, says Steve Linford of Spamhaus, 95 percent of all email will be spam by this time next year.”
- Yahoo: “Analysis of email traffic shows that spam as a percentage of total email messages rose from 87% in January 2004 to 93% in January 2005.”
Of course, network admins who have deployed proper filtering equipment don’t understand the fuss. Once every network is correctly fortified, spammers won’t have anyone to spam.
